Cortland

One Cortland Apple Three Cortland Apples

Cortland is a cross between the Ben Davis and McIntosh varieties. It is a well-colored dessert apple that has found acceptance for eating fresh. Cortland is a very "natural" looking apple, with a ground color of pale yellow almost flushed with a deep red crimson color. It is highlighted by very short dark red stripes and gray green dots. Cortland has white flesh, becoming slightly green at the core. It is slightly coarse-textured, moderately juicy and has a sweet flavor.

Cortland ripens in late September.
