Jonathan
Fruit is bright, blazing red without a stripe, and has a shiny,
glossy finish. The flesh is tender-crisp and juicy; skin is thin.
Has a tart, rich, distinctive flavor. Jonathans retain full
flavor when cooked. They cook tender quickly and retain shape when
baked. This is another apple good for all purposes, including
salads.
Jonathan ripens in late September.
