Welcome to the County Line Orchard Community Garden 2010:
Objective:
County Line Orchard is passionate about local food. The satisfaction of growing your own produce is unsurpassed. Community gardening improves people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.
Our goal is to provide gardeners with a plot farm land and create a community space in which people with the same passion can come together and grow
vegetables and flowers as well as their knowledge of gardening.
We cordially invite you to join us for our first year of the County Line
Orchard Community Garden.
How it works:
The garden will open May 1st and close October 30th. Hobart’s average last frost is May 31st and the first frost is September 24th. Individual plots are available on a first come first serve basis.
We will offer the following plot sizes:
| 20’ x 20’ |
400sq/ft |
$20.00 |
| 20’ x 30’ |

Garden plots will be marked by red stakes at the corners. All growing must occur within these boundaries. Common walkways will surround all of the plots.
All produce must be harvested and plots cleaned by the closing date.
