County Line Orchard

The Chick House

County Line Orchard, working with Purdue University, has created a special chick hatching house! We have chicks hatching every single day we're open, so everyone can witness the event as chicks peck their way to the outside world. We'll have chickens in every stage of development, from newly hatched to cute and fluffy to awkward adolescent to fully grown.

We have gotten a lot of support from Purdue's "Incubators in the Classroom" project. They also have an interesting "ChickZone" web page.
