Our Apples

We're often asked when apples are ripe and which variety is best for eating, baking, etc. Here are the answers to most of those questions. Click on the name of the apple for a picture of it and a detailed description.

As all our frequent orchard customers know, each season is a little different from the last. Due to things like amount of rain and temperature, the apples can ripen ahead of or behind the "average" ripening date.

This year actually does look rather average -
we appear to be right on schedule.

For many, many more varieties of apples, I suggest you check out the astounding list at applejournal.com.
