Classic Tour | Basic Pumpkin Tour | Maze Tour | Honey Bee Tour
County Line Orchard is the leader of orchard tours in the Chicagoland area. In 2009, almost 40,000 students, teachers and chaperones visited our orchard for an educational and fun field trip. Over 95% of those teachers have already made reservations to come again this year.
We are strong believers in experience education and have been a leader in school field trips for almost 20 years. If you are veteran teacher then welcome back. If you are new to County Line Orchard school tours then we extend a warm welcome and hope you make us your fall stop for many years to come.
Classic Tour: Apples or Pumpkins {Book Now}
County Line Orchard's Classic tour will provide an enjoyable educational tour,
especially designed for children ages Pre-K through 3rd grade. This fun- filled tour gives children an opportunity to learn while having a good time. Please allow at least
2 hours for the Classic Tour.
The Children (and accompanying adults) will experience the following topics:
Pollination - Learn the importance of Honey Bee’s and view them up close in our observation bee hives.
Photosynthesis - Visit our Tree Lab station and learn what trees need to grow.
Apple harvesting - Experience learning at its best. Head to the orchard to pick fresh apples or to the patch to pick a perfect pumpkin. Groups enjoy a ride through the orchard on our very own Picker-People-Picker-Uppers (Tractor drawn trailer ride)
Apple Packing - Learn how we clean and sort our tasty apples.
Cider Making - View a live cider press and sample our delicious cider.
Kids Farm - Stop in before or after your tour and visit our farm animals.

* Tour w/apples & pumpkins - $8.00 per child

Basic Pumpkin Tour: {Book Now}
New for 2010, County Line Orchard’s Pumpkin Tour will provide an enjoyable
experience based tour, especially designed for children Pre-K to 3rd grade.
The children (and accompanying adults) will:
New for 2010 County Line Orchard's Basic Pumpkin tour will provide an enjoyable experience based tour, especially designed for children Pre-K to Kindergarten. This condensed tour focuses on having fun and picking a pumpkin and does not include our educational presentations. Please allow at least 1 hour for the Basic Pumpkin Tour.
The Children (and accompanying adults) will experience the following topics:
Pumpkin harvesting – Experience learning at its best. Head to the patch to pick a perfect pumpkin. Groups enjoy a ride to the patch on our very own Picker-People-Picker-Uppers (Tractor drawn trailer ride).
Basic Pumpkin Tour - $4.00 per child
Reservations available Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 2:00pm

Maze Tours: Corn Maze Tour {Book Now}
County Line Orchard's Maze tour will provide an enjoyable educational tour, especially designed for children ages 3rd grade through High School. Our maze tour offers a wide range of learning opportunities from team building to map reading. Please allow at least 2 hours for the Maze Tour.
The students and accompanying adults will experience the following:
Corn Maze Experience – Utilize our 10 acre corn maze to create a field trip like no other. Groups will also have access to:
Maze Tour - $6.00 per student
