Who are tours for?

Our program has been designed for children 3 thru 3rd grade, but we have added a phenotypes section for our older students.  We also welcome any and all special needs groups.  Our tours and trailers are handicap accessible with ramps and lifts.

When are tours given?

Tours are offered Tuesday thru Friday during September and October (dates may vary).
Tours begin at 9:00am and depart every 10 minutes thru 12:30pm.

How long is the tour?

During both the Classic and Deluxe tours you will spend approximately 70 minutes with your assigned guide, this does not include time in our kids farm, lunch or restroom breaks, so please be sure the students use the restroom before hand.

What are tours all about?

Our fun but educational tours give kids the opportunity to learn about the workings of an apple orchard, and the hard working honeybee.

What do the students do on the tour?
  • See our honeybees hard at work inside a glass hive and learn the importance of pollination and its role in growing our food.
  • Take a tour of our packing shed to see how the machine prepares our apples to be sold in the Big Barn Store.
  • Learn how an old fashioned cider press works and sample our delicious, pasteurized apple cider.
  • Take a ride into the orchard on our tractor drawn wagon (aka the people picker upper) to pick your own apples or a pie pumpkin.
  • Visit all the animals in our Kids Farm, you may even see a chick hatch while in Chick-Ville!
What is the price of a tour?

Our Classic tour is $8.00 pp and includes apples or a pie pumpkin, at $10.00 pp our Deluxe tour gives you both apples and a pie pumpkin.  Children and adults are the same price.  **You will receive 2 free staff per each tour after reaching the minimum of 12 paid admissions per tour. **

Is there a minimum group size?

Although we do not require a certain number of guests to book a tour.  There will be a flat $72.00 tour charge for groups that do not exceed this amount with their group size.

What about lunch?

You are welcome to bring sack lunches and use our picnic area.  We also have a tented area to be used during inclement weather.  There are food, drinks and snacks available for purchase inside our little barn.  There is limited seating inside which is allocated toward our public guests.  So, we kindly ask that all school groups eat their lunches in the designated picnic area.  Please and thank you!
